After many years in private general
practice and some time in commercial work in many places
throughout the UK he specialised in what is termed in
legal circles as Private Client Work; basically harking
back to the “family solicitor” who looked after generations
through wills, probate of those wills, family succession
matters, elderly folk who needed powers of attorney
to pass the handling of their affairs usually to their
retained lawyer, and such like jobs which though were
not flamboyant or highly fashionable were most essential
to keeping the wheels of society in motion.
This work is now most essential with
the explosion in house prices especially.
He has now concentrated on offering
comprehensive and thoroughly detailed advice on Inheritance
Tax saving so that the wealth that has been created
can be handed on safely to on-coming members of the
family.
He has detailed knowledge of the creation
and operation of trusts, and his regularly updated “case
studies" section covers the latest changes
in the law.
The work he undertakes is on a strictly
personal basis, i.e. he will visit clients to discuss
their individual requirements and again see them to
explain all documents which he prepares to do the job
he undertakes. Signing of completed work may be entrusted
to a local legal firm on an agency basis.

general tax matters such as Capital Gains Tax or Income
